Flow 1: Sleep Diagnose (On boarding)

AI analyzes and diagnoses user’s specific sleep issues when the they open the app for the first time.

PROTOTYPE

*A speaker icon has been added because users prefer not to type out lengthy questions using the keyboard.

The system creates personalized sleep plans based on different sleep issues, so each person's sleep plan may vary.

Flow 2: Customized Plan

When users find the plan difficult to follow or ineffective, they can modify it at any time. The AI will reassess their sleep issues and redesign the plan accordingly.

Flow 3: Modify the Sleep Plan

Every morning, the system generates an easy-to-understand sleep report. Users can record their sleep at any time.

Flow 4: Sleep Report and Record

Intelligently recommend videos, podcasts, or books based on different sleep issues.

Flow 5: Recommend

AI Assistant Quickly Diagnoses Sleep Problems

Around 30% to 40% of American adults experience insomnia symptoms, yet many delay seeking help until their issues become severe. Most sleep apps focus on offering soothing music or providing excessive data, without tackling the root causes of individual sleep problems. Sleepi is designed to intervene early, addressing sleep difficulties before they escalate.

PROJECT OVERVIEW

An AI-powered sleep assistant that quickly diagnoses your sleep issues and provides a personalized sleep plan.

Comprehensive understanding of sleep issues

Q1: Do you have any sleep-related issues?

Q2: On the scale of 1 -10, how you rate your sleeping issue?

Q3: How many days per week do you feel satisfied with your sleep quality?

Q4: Have you previously consulted a doctor regarding your sleep issues?

If answer No but number in Q2 is high, ask why

Q5: Do you have a clear understanding of the causes of your sleep issues?

Q6: What does your current sleep routine look like?

Interview Survey Questions

Analysis of sleep aid apps/devices available on the market

Q1: Do you use any APPs/Devices to assist with your sleep?

Answer Yes, what APP?

Answer No, If there were an app, what features would you want it to have?

Q2: How long have you used these apps, and what features do you like about them?

Q3: Which features do you dislike?

Q4: Which feature do you use the most, and which one do you use the least?

Q5: What specific features do you need?

( Why design these questions: to Understand Users, define Target Audiences, and extract User Insights )

Talk to the software engineer and see which of these features can be implemented, and which features need further optimization to increase feasibility.

It is essential to promptly show updated wireframes and prototype versions to the target audiences to ensure feasibility and adjust specific features based on user feedback.

The icon set and design and color system I created need to be adjusted and applied in real time according to the overall user flow to ensure consistency and unity in both design language and interactions.

Continue conducting user research, refine the research questions, and gain more user insights.

Reach out to students studying machine learning and AI to ask if this sleep AI assistant concept is technically feasible and how it might be implemented.

Have discussions with sleep experts and professors to explore how more advanced technological features can be integrated to enhance the accuracy of Sleepi.
